Bigger Fish Athletics is an athletic apparel brand dedicated to empowering veterans to reach their full potential and overcome the challenges they are faced with when it comes to successfully transitioning back into the civilian world. Our mission is to provide high-quality, performance-driven athletic wear that inspires confidence, determination, and resilience while also emphasizing the importance of not just physical health, but mental health as well. This goal is represented under the banner of our name, which is inspired by the popular saying, “There’s always a bigger fish”. This name is meant to serve as a reminder that even if an athlete is currently at the top of their game, they should never become complacent.

There will always be someone else working hard to surpass them, and this mindset encourages athletes and veterans alike to continuously push their limits and strive for greatness. And ultimately, to not be discouraged by the proverbial bigger fish in our lives, but rather, use it as a source of motivation. 

There are a number of brands in the fitness industry that have made efforts to support veterans in some capacity, but we believe that those efforts fall short of the full potential that the athletic industry could achieve for veteran’s advocacy in the United States. At Bigger Fish Athletics, our goal starting off is to meet that full potential by pledging 20% of all athletic apparel sales to nonprofit veteran organizations across the U.S. with an emphasis on those that provide mental health and career establishment services. In addition, our website will also provide a comprehensive list of resources, support, and information for veterans in the form of a directory in all 50 states while also offering a convenient platform for purchasing athletic apparel that serves as an additional resource for funding for these services.
